Meet XFL Prospect: Nick Truesdell, TE, Tampa Bay Vipers
Nick Truesdell has officially made the Tampa Bay Vipers roster, and the former AAF pass catcher sat down with NFL Draft Diamonds owner Damond Talbot for this amazing interview. With the XFL about to kick-off in early February, we wanted to start a segment to showcase some XFL prospects so the fans of the league can get some inside information on these prospects!
How has the transition been to the XFL?
It has been great! The coaches, staff and players have all become a family and that’s made it easy for us to be even better on the field.
What do you bring to the XFL?
I bring size and speed at TE and a lot of YAC and big plays.
What is your favorite pre-game meal?
A big brunch and maybe a light snack after if it’s a later game.
Did you watch wrestling as a child? If so who was your favorite wrestler
Yes and I loved watching Rikishi
The XFL has established some new rules, what is your favorite rule that is different from the NFL?
My favorite rule would have to be the no extra point rule because that gives us more chances on offense
Who is the best player on the opposite side of the field that the fans need to pay attention to?
Fans need to watch out for Nikita at DL! He’s an athletic monster and can get in the backfield fast and blow up plays.
Is there one player around the league that you are looking forward to playing against?
There’s not really one specific player but I definitely am looking for to playing Houston cause a lot of my teammates from the AAF are there!
If you could sit down with any person dead or alive and could interview them, who would it be and what would you ask them?
I would interview Lebron James and I would want to pick his brain about his daily regimen because what he does outside of basketball is amazing!
What is your biggest individual goal you have this year?
To give the NFL enough film to show them I belong in the league
Who was your favorite football player growing up?
Terrell Owens because of his size and the excitement he brought to the game.
What was the biggest adversity you had to go through to get to where you are today?
Getting in trouble in college and being incarcerated because of it. Losing my full ride scholarship and not playing much college football.
Who is your biggest supporter?
My whole Family and my girlfriend and her family
What do you think is your biggest attribute, that fans will love?
I am a playmaker who can make things happen after the catch
Do you have a nickname?
True or Trues
What is your most memorable moment in life?
Having our son Tristan Nicholas Truesdell aka TNT ? lol
