Report: David DeCastro closing in on a deal that will keep him a Steeler
According to Dan Graziano of ESPN, the Pittsburgh Steelers and offensive lineman David DeCastro are closing in on a deal that will lock up the former first rounder.
Source says the Pittsburgh Steelers and guard David DeCastro are close to a contract extension. Shouldn’t be a surprise. DeCastro’s agent, Tom Condon, also represents Drew Brees, who just signed an extension with the Saints. Last year in the final week before the start of the season, Condon clients Eli Manning, Luke Kuechly and Anthony Castonzo all signed extensions.
DeCastro told reporters today he thinks it could be done by Monday. That is great news for the Steelers who have been saving cap by restructuring players contracts.
