Snoop Dogg says he was kind of mad that his son quit football again
Cordell Broadus the son of rapper Snoop Dogg has quit football again, and it sounds like this time, he is done. Snoop was a guest on Hot 97 with “Ebro in the Morning” and talked about son Cordell walking away from UCLA football for a second time
“It was heartbreaking, it was crushing,” said Snoop. “But at the same time I saw it was a burden on his shoulders. I never wanted him to feel like he had to do anything for me. I showed him how to play football for him. I just love the fact that he was great at it and he could get to that level.”
“His spirit wasn’t into it. He wanted to do other things. I understand that because I started off as an athlete and music and everything else overwhelmed that. I followed my heart and I followed my dreams.
“I kind of was mad, but how can I be mad at you for discovering who you are and becoming you? What I wanted you to be may not have been you, but what you want to be is going to be all you.”
