Panthers QB Cam Newton apologizes for ruining A.J. Klein’s 94 yard touchdown
Yesterday, the Carolina Panthers had an amazing pick six by A.J. Klein that was negated when quarterback Cam Newton ran onto the field in excitement. His act actually cost his teammate a 94 yard touchdown. The refs threw a flag and docked Newton for his actions.
Panthers quarterback Cam Newton did apologize to linebacker A.J. Klein after his penalty for running onto the field to celebrate cost Klein a 94-yard return of an interception for a touchdown on Thursday night.
“No, he came up and apologized, that could’ve possibly made the difference in the game,” Klein said after the game. “It’s just learning a lesson for the regular season. Everybody’s got to be on their game.”
