Moritz Böhringer walks several miles a day back and forth from practice
Moritz Böhringer is the first player to be drafted directly from Europe, and the sixth round pick of the Vikings does not think like your typical American football player.
In an interview with TransferWise, the German star said he does not want to spend his money on a car, when he can walk.
“The main reason I walk everywhere is I don’t have a car because I wanted to save money,” he said. “Every morning I just walk to the facility and in the afternoon I walk back. My girlfriend thinks that’s pretty crazy because, like most Americans, she drives everywhere. In Germany it’s very different to the United States in many ways.”
This is a pretty interesting story because reports say Bohringer lives three miles away from the facility. If that is the case, he will be in great shape after the season if he walks 6 miles a day, especially in the snow.
