Iowa Strength and Conditioning Coach Hits the Jackpot
Iowa Strength and Conditioning Coach Hits the Jackpot.
The Iowa Strength and Conditioning Coach will be making $595,000 this year.
Let that sink in real quick.
The Iowa STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH will be making close to $600,000 in one year. For comparison, my man Chris Doyle will be making more money than 29 Division 1 head coaches this year, and he’ll be making more than national champion Alabama’s Strength and Conditioning coach by $70,000.
Now I’m a huge strength and conditioning coach guy because I think they’re the heart and soul of a football team. They’re the guys that are getting them stronger, faster, and more athletic every day, so they do deserve to make just as much as a coach. However, $595,000 is a ridiculous amount for someone who is not a major coach. In comparison for Iowa, Doyle will be making the same amount of money as the offensive coordinator and the defensive coordinator.
With all the money that they’re investing in Doyle, Iowa better be the strongest, fastest and most athletic team in ALL of the land, and show that Doyle is worth every penny.
