2017 NFL Draft Evaluation: Cooper Kupp, WR, Eastern Washington
Cooper Kupp- 6’2 205 lbs.WR (RS SR.)-Eastern Washington University
Cooper Kupp may very well be the best player in College Football that you have never heard of. His eye-popping numbers through 3 seasons at EWU (311 catches-4,764 yards-56 TDs), almost look like they were pulled straight from a video game. Add to that his ability to return kickoffs as well as punts and watch his draft stock soar. Kupp possesses good size and hands to play at the next level. He may not be the fastest player on the field, but he is a polished route runner who is sharp in and out of cuts. The Yakima, WA native has room to improve his game this year as a redshirt senior, but with another strong season, Kupp could hear his name called in the 5th-6th round next Spring. At the NFL level, he may be better suited as a slot receiver to take advantage of his route running skills and high football IQ.
