Oklahoma Sooners QB Baker Mayfield denied year of eligibility by Big 12

Oklahoma Sooners star QB Baker Mayfield is a rising senior so he has one year of eligibility left. Buzz started going around that he may be able to get another year of eligibility due to his being a walk-on for one season at Texas Tech.
Rule change that would have given OU QB Baker Mayfield an extra year of eligibility failed on a 5-5 vote of the Big 12 faculty reps.

With Big 12 vote, Baker Mayfield could end up getting his year of eligibility back by transferring outside the conference in 2017.

I wonder if Mayfield will transfer out of Big 12 after the year? It is a possibility….
