Bills HOF QB Jim Kelly thinks if Rex Ryan does not lead Bills to playoffs he is gone
Jim Kelly was the best Buffalo Bills quarterback ever, and it has been a long time since the Bills had a winning record. The last time they made the playoffs was 1999 with Doug Flutie and Rob Johnson at the quarterback position. When the HOF quarterback was asked about Rex Ryan and his situation with the Bills, Kelly was very upfront saying it is do or die for Rex.
“I think we need to do it [make the playoffs],” said Kelly, as transcribed by NJ.com’s Darryl Slater. “I think we have to do it. If we don’t, I think Rex will probably be looking for another job. I think everybody knows that, including Rex. We have the nucleus to get it done.
“On paper, we look great, and we should be a very good team. But you cannot go to the playoffs, you can’t win championships, when you’re spending most of your time in the training room [with injuries]. You’ve got to stay healthy. Our key guys have got to stay healthy.”
I honestly agree with the great one’s assessment. The Bills are in dire need.
