Angelo State University
How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?
No schools were recruiting me out of high school so I went to Fresno City College
How did you choose your school?
Angelo State was recruiting me through out the process while I was at Fresno City College and when I went on the visit, I loved it so I committed there.
Where are you from?
Fresno, California
Who is your role model, and why?
My mom is my role model because she the one that raised me and been there for me whenever I needed her.
Have any scouts met with you yet, and if so what are they saying?
I met with 2 scouts that were from the Giants and the Packers at my junior pro day, and they just told me to have good season.
Did you play any other sports growing up?
Yeah I ran track, and played a little bit of basketball .
Did you play any other positions in football?
Yeah I played Kick Returner in college and corner in high school.
At your position, what separates you from others?
The ability to take the top off of defenses at any given moment with my speed! I can also run routes too! I’m a good route runner and take pride in it.
When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?
I watch the corner hips and see if he has good hips and how they get in and out of their back pedal. That tells me if he is a good corner or not. I also look at the safeties and where their alignment is. Watching the corners and the safeties tells me what coverage there in also.
Who was the toughest player you ever faced?
The toughest player I ever faced was my teammate Jared Ross! Going against him in practice everyday made me better. He is a very good corner.
If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?
I compare my style of play to Desean Jackson. I been idolizing him for along time and I tried to play my game like his.
What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?
I’ve been through a lot of obstacles through out the course of my life so it’s too many to say. Having faith in God made get through it everytime.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
Praying before the game.
What is your biggest strength?
My biggest strength is my speed and route running! Also being able to return kicks. I took 2 kick returns back for touchdowns this season a 100 and 97.
What is your biggest weakness?
Blocking down field
If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say
Take a chance on me, you wouldn’t regret it.
Who was your favorite player and NFL team growing up?
Marvin Harrison and the Oakland Raiders
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?
Aunt Helen, Aunt Caroline and my cousin Rachel.
