A former teammate of Peyton will not be happy until he sacks him
Peyton Manning has a job to tear up defenses, and he has done that for years now. Well this week he will face a former teammate. That teammate has sacked many quarterbacks over his career, but he still has never sacked his long time friend in a game.
Dwight Freeney has one goal this week and it is to get after Peyton because he understands it might be the last time he has a chance.
“At some time, I’m going to have to get him,” Freeney said, per U-T San Diego. “If I retire, I’m going to have find a way to (get him from my) wheelchair.”
Freeney spent 11 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, where he was Manning’s teammate for 10.
In his first season with the San Diego Chargers last year, he ended up on injured reserve before getting a chance to chase down the quarterback.
