Vikings head coach is pissed with his teams performance
The Minnesota Vikings have not been impressive this year, except the week they played the Falcons. Well the Vikings head coach is not pumped about their play, and I would expect a different Vikings team come next week against Buffalo.
“I expected better today,” Zimmer said, via ESPN.com. “I thought we practiced well all week. Disappointing we didn’t protect the quarterback, we didn’t block guys, and until we figure out that — this game is about blocking and tackling and catching the ball, doing your job — we’re going to have more results like this. But we’re going to keep grinding them, pounding.”
Zimmer was also upset by his players’ behavior during the week. Zimmer said he had to fine several players for being late to meetings during the week and the coach said the fines would be going up if his team can’t find the discipline it takes to fulfill all of their responsibilities.
“I’m not going to let them slide,” Zimmer said. “I’m going to keep fighting. I’m going to keep pounding my head, and like I told them, the fines are going to start going to the max now. I’m tired of it.”
