NFL Draft Diamonds 2015 Small School NFL Mock Draft

20151. Tampa Bay (2-14) – Zach Hodges – DE – Harvard Hodges is the best small school prospect in the 2015 NFL Draft and should be the first small schooler selected.  Tampa will find a way to utilize him in the pass rush off the edge and he will have a great career.

2. Tennessee (2-14) – David Johnson – RB – Northern Iowa David Johnson is a power back that can do it all out the backfield. He has good hands and can really make an impact in Tennessee.  I love this pick!

3. Jacksonville (3-13) – Lynden Trail – DE/OLB – Norfolk State – Lynden Trail is a superb athlete that transferred from the University of Florida.  I think he can have a successful career in J-Ville.

4. Oakland (3-13) – Dezmin Lewis – WR – Central Arkansas – Dezmin Lewis is going to have a huge week in the Senior Bowl and will likely land a Combine invite. I can see Lewis as a main target in Oakland

5. Washington (4-12) – Xavier Williams – Northern Iowa – The massive defensive tackle was very productive for UNI and I feel he can be a huge asset to the Redskins line.

6. N.Y. Jets (4-12) – Tre McBride – WR – William & Mary – Tre McBride is a very solid football player who has been impressing NFL scouts at the East/West Shrine game. I expect his stock to rise.

7. Chicago (5-11) – Jaquiski Tartt – SS – Samford Tartt is a very solid football player. He has great hands and is able to make players using technique.  Tartt has good hips and takes great angles to make tackles.

8. Atlanta (6-10) – Robert Myers – G – Tennessee State – Myers was on a nasty offensive line last year that had two draft picks.  This year he was TSU’s best offensive player.  He is a great player and should be the best offensive lineman drafted from small schools.

9. N.Y. Giants (6-10) – Ryan Delaire – DE – Towson – Ryan is a freak athlete who transferred from UMass.  He will tear up the Combine and I expect his name to fly up draft boards.

10. St. Louis (6-10) – Dean Marlowe – S  – James Madison – Dean Marlowe is a hard hitting safety that has the hands of a wide receiver. Marlowe is a big safety that lowers the boom stick on his opponents.

11. Minnesota (7-9) – John Crockett – RB – North Dakota State University – Crockett is a Minnesota native and he could end up being Adrian Peterson’s replacement.  Crockett is a freakish big running back with great hands and a motivational mouth.

12. Cleveland (7-9) – Kenny Cook – WR – Gardner WebbThe 6’4 wide out has great hands and an awesome story.  The former Cancer survivor has an 81 inch wingspan. Imagine him and Josh Gordon opposite of one another?

13. New Orleans (7-9) – Mycole Pruitt – TE – Southern Illinois – Pruitt’s size might be a concern to some, but at 6’2 he is able to get the job done.  Pruitt has soft hands and runs very good routes.

14. Miami (8-8) – R.J. Harris – WR – New Hampshire – R.J. is not he fastest wide receiver in the NCAA, but he might run the best route of any receiver in the draft.  He has great hands and explodes when he needs too.

15. San Francisco (8-8) – Davis Tull – LB – Tennessee Chattanooga – Tull has a high motor and is impressive getting around an edge. I can see Tull making a name for himself at the Combine.

16. Houston (9-7) – Kyle Loomis – P – Portland State – While it might be crazy to see a punter on this list, Shane Lechler is getting old and Loomis has a booming leg. He should get drafted.

17 Kansas City (9-7) – Kyle Emmanuel – DE – North Dakota State University – Emmanuel is a very solid edge rusher who has looked good at the East/West Shrine Game.  Emmanuel finished the year with 16.5 sacks, he will rack up more learning from Houston and Hali.

18. San Diego (9-7) – Malcolm Agnew – RB – Southern Illinois – Agnew has good bloodlines. His father and brother both made it to the NFL. Agnew’s father is an NFL scout, and his ability on the field is amazing.

19. Cleveland (from Buffalo 9-7) – Nick Boyle – TE – Delaware – The big Blue Hen has great hands and is able to make things happen on the field. He will move up the ranks at the Senior Bowl.

20. Philadelphia (10-6) – Tevin McDonald – S – Eastern Washington – T.J.’s brother is finally in the NFL.  He will make tons of plays and remember his bloodlines are fierce. Both father and brother were in the NFL. Former UCLA standout as well.

21. Cincinnati (10-5-1) – Imoan Claiborne – CB – Northwestern State – The Alexandria, Louisiana native has been pretty solid and he moved up quite a few NFL draft scouts boards.  He is a good player with great instincts.

22. Pittsburgh (11-5) – Zach Wagenmann – DE – Montana – The big man from Montana has a home and he will be loved in Steeler Country. He is a die hard football guy with a lunch pail mentality.

23. Detroit (11-5) – De’Ante “POP” Saunders – DB – Tennessee State – The former Florida Gator has a new home and he is still just as explosive as he was when he was back in Gainesville.

24. Arizona (11-5) – Tyler Varga – RB – Yale – The Canadian back will be ready during the Senior Bowl.  He had a great week and the Cardinals could use a fresh back.

25. Carolina Panthers (8-9-1) – Dontella Luckett – WR – Harding – Luckett might be the fastest man in the 2015 NFL draft. His stock will fly up boards after he runs his forty in Indy.

26. Baltimore Ravens (11-7) – Ali Marpet – OT – Hobart – This kid is just pure brute force.  If he can show he can hang with the big guns at the Senior Bowl he will fly up draft boards.

27. Dallas Cowboys (13-5) –  Jacob Hagen – SS – Liberty – Jacob Hagen is a ball hawk that will get a time to shine.  I love his attitude and feel he can make a big impact in the NFL.

28. Denver Broncos (12-5) – Jake Kumerow – WR – Wisconsin Whitewater – The former Illinois transfer is a great player with good hands. He will be a replacement for one of the Broncos men that will likely leave in free agency.

29. Green Bay Packers (13-5) –  Cole Manhart – OT – Nebraska- Kearney  – A big boy, Cole Manhart is a nasty run blocker. He looks like a man on the football field for little Nebraska-Kearney. I feel Manhart will be a late round steal for someone.

30. Indianapolis Colts (13-6) – Tom Obarski – K – Concorida St. Paul – Adam Vinatieri is getting older every day and he needs a replacement. The Colts find a strong leg in Obarski.

31. Seattle Seahawks (14-5) – Cashaud Lyons – DE – Tusculum – Lyons is a freak of an athlete that is huge. He will get a ton of looks and could be a steal for the Hawks.

32. New England Patriots (15-4) – Michael Johnson – S – Fayetteville State – Michael Johnson can do it all, he will be this years Malcolm Butler.  He can return punts and make plays, I love this kids attitude.
