Patriots sign a pair of players; Former Texan RB Cierre Wood has a home

Cierre Wood finally has a home, and it is with the New England Patriots.  This is a very Patriot-Like move.  Wood was released after smoking a cigar a few weeks ago in a team motel. That was a big part of the Houston Texans downfall and drama.  Wood is a very solid player and will fit the Patriot mold very well.

The New England Patriots have signed former Ravens wide receiver LaQuan Williams to a one-year contract, according to a National Football Post.

The former University of Maryland and Poly player worked out recently for the Patriots and Oakland Raiders. Williams was removed from the Ravens’ injured reserve list in September when the team agreed to an injury settlement with him.
