You will be able to track them all on the front page of our website in the banner.

What is your name?

Marcus Grant

What is your Height/Weight?

6’2 205

What is your position?

Wide Receiver

Where do you play college football?

Framingham State in Massachusetts

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

I’ve done numerous things off the field working with the youth. Somethings include volunteering at youth camps, the YMCA, and visiting children’s hospitals

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Computers in Management

Where are you from?

Carver, Mass., a small town known for producing cranberries. I love it.

Who is your role model, and why?

I have two. My father Michael Grant Sr. because he just laid down the foundation for me at a young age of what it is to be a man. The other is my high school football coach Mike Taylor because other than my immediate family he’s always been there for me, through the good and the bad. He’s just a loyal man.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Yes basketball, baseball, and I ran track

Did you play any other positions in football?

Yes, in high school mostly all other schools besides Iowa recruited me to play corner or safety.

At your position, what separates you from others?

I think my physicality and knowledge of the game. Ive been fortunate enough to learn from some of the best.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look at coverages the defense tend to play. Whether its man or zone, or a mixture. I love to study individuals as well. Techniques Db’s like to play and what they are comfortable doing. I think this gives me a heads up of kind of what I am going see when I face them in the game.

Marcus GrantWho was the toughest player you ever faced?

When I was at Iowa I had the privilege of going against Micah Hyde of the Green Bay Packers everyday. He was a great DB, very versatile and smart. That was a cool experience.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

I’m not too sure. I always use to like watching Miles Austin. Big physical receiver that goes and gets the ball. I like to see myself as that type of player.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

When I was at Boston College, my girlfriend became pregnant. For awhile I was playing D1 and commuting over an hour everyday to Boston College from home in order to be a father to my son. This was tough, leaving home at 4:30 am to be at am workouts, then having practice, class, study hall, and driving back home in order to do it all over again the next day. This played a big factor in my decision to leave BC.

Do you have pregame rituals?

This past season I started one. I wore a decal on my helmet for a local boy from my town who passed away from cancer. He was a close family friend. So before every game I would tap the decal say a few words for him and point to the sky asking for his blessing.

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

There’s a lot. The biggest is just getting your name out there. Another is being at a small D3 school we don’t have the luxury of being in a strength and condition program like at a D1 program. Therefore I feel I’m behind in the weight room. But I recently just began training with Sean Smith at Exceed sports in preparation for some pro days and combines. He’s going to get me right so I’m not too concerned.

What is your biggest strength?

My football IQ and my hands. I don’t drop a lot of passes.

What is your biggest weakness?

I would say I haven’t faced the best competition these last two years. But I’ve been in those big time programs with big time players and When I put the work in I can play with anyone.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I would say I am a guy who is going to come to work everyday and cause no headaches. Off the field I’m a low key guy. On the field I’m going to give 110% and I’m willing to play any position in order to help us win. I’m very selfless.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Barry Sanders. and I’ve always loved the cowboys and patriots

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Tupac, J Cole, Michael Jordan
