NFL Draft Diamonds and our staff have been bringing our readers Prospect Interviews over the past 2 years and this year we mixed up the questions and added some fun questions for our readers. We have tons of NFL staff that read our interviews, and we actually received several of the questions from NFL scouts we speak too. This gives them a little bit more information regarding your character. We hope to bring you more than 300 interviews of NFL Draft Prospects this season. You will be able to track them all on the front page of our website in the banner.

What is your name?

Dylan Peebles

What is your Height/Weight?

6’0″/ 220lbs

What is your position?

Running back/Kick returner

Where do you play college football?

Cortland State

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Went to some junior high schools and talked with some kids about their grades and how they will get to where they see themselves in the future

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Physics or Human Anatomy

Where are you from?

Port Leyden, NY

Who is your role model, and why?

My Parents, life isn’t all lavish and fun. You have to go out and get what you want. My parents have taught me to keep on keeping on, no matter how tough it gets

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Track & Field

Did you play any other positions in football?

Every position except a lineman

At your position, what separates you from others?

My acceleration and breakaway speed. People think just because I’m 220 that I can’t run away from them.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

As a running back or returner, we’re always looking for that lane to hit. Vision and potentially knowing where those seams will be is pretty crucial

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Craig Wilkins from Old Dominion

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Adrian Peterson. He’s more of a one cut, get downhill, physical runner with a big body and blazing speed

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

I was at Campbell University prior to attending Cortland. I decided to transfer and find somewhere else to go. It was like starting over again and I just didn’t know where to go or what to do. My family and some old coaches helped me along the way to lower the anxiety and just do what was best for me

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Have to listen to some Lil Wayne

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

Showing the pro scouts that for some of us in D3, there is minimal separation from the players at D1 schools and that giving us a chance is just as beneficial for them as any of those guys

What is your biggest strength?

I am a very smart, coachable player who is always engaged in my craft and open to constructive criticism to better my game

What is your biggest weakness?

I need to get better in pass protection. I’m a little taller so I have to work on sinking down and getting a better base

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

Giving a guy a chance to live out his dream is a blessing in itself. I have all of the attributes from size, speed, power, smarts, common sense, etc. And if you sign me, I will give you everything I have every single day I step into the weight room, film room, or onto the field. I won’t take the opportunity for granted. Whatever my role is, I will perfect it and give the team my best. I will make you right in deciding to sign me

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Ladainian Tomlinson and Miami Dolphins

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Dwayne Wade, Alex Ovechkin, and Dan Marino

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

I would love to pay off my entire student loan debt and then go enjoy some time in the Caribbean
