Prospect Spotlight: Jeremy Johnson, QB, Auburn
Prospect SpotlightJeremy Johnson
Auburn 6-5 240lbs
Is this the week he comes around and plays up to his vast potential? Coming into the season many compared him to Cam Newton because of his size, arm strength, and athleticism. He is off to a poor start mainly due to his locking onto his main receiver and inability to recognize underneath coverage leading to 5 interceptions in 2 games. He is surrounded with weapons and with the tools he possesses if he could relax and just complete some passes and use his legs to make some plays he could not only win this weeks big game vs a stingy LSU defense, he could begin his rise up NFL draft boards. This will be his 4th ever start, so it’s kind of early to give up on him. With Auburn’s SEC West schedule he will have many opportunities to boost his draft stock but it would be a good idea to get started this Saturday to ensure he keeps his starting job.
