What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Since I was able to, I always would watch old school football games and just fell in love since then.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

The connections that I’ve made, I will always remember coaches and my teammates as well as the new things I’ve learned over the years to make me the player I am today.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

Mother and grandmother, no matter what was happening they always made sure me and my sisters had clothes, food on the table, and a roof over our heads.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

The game as a whole, the process of learning and getting better every day as well as helping me become mentally tough to overcome adversity.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

Deion Sanders, because he was an exceptional athlete and his mentality was different. I also can learn a lot of things from him that I might not have learned yet.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Washburn?

I would say man to man schemes because I know I can lock down one side of the field.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

First, I like to talk to God about my struggles and I know that its all for a reason so I stay calm.

What would a team get in a player like you?

I am very coachable and a great teammate/person. I work hard and challenge others to push harder than what they already do. I also treat practice like a game so by game time I won’t have to think, elite communication skills and IQ.

What stands out about your film the most?

I’m not afraid to make plays, I am a great tackler, I trust my technique, and if I see it I’m going to believe it.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Brian O’Neal, he’s a lockdown corner, elite IQ, great technique and not afraid to make a tackle.
