What did it mean to you to be selected to play in the Dream Bowl?
It means the most getting an invitation to the Dream Bowl coming from a NAIA school.
Describe the experience of traveling and competing in the Dream Bowl environment.
The travel experience was amazing. I enjoyed Texas & the entire weekend the Dream Bowl created for us. Competing in the Dream Bowl atmosphere against some great D1 was talent was an incredible opportunity for me.
What was the biggest takeaway from the Dream Bowl week?
The biggest takeaway I took from the weekend was the be where your feet are. You were given the opportunity to handle business, so make sure you handle business!
How has the Dream Bowl influenced your future goals?
The Dream Bowl has influenced my future so much in only ONE day! I’ve talked to scouts & had journalist reach out to me to talk about my career & performance in the game.
What message would you give to future Dream Bowl athletes?
The Dream Bowl is LEGIT! If invited to play, GO PLAY! You WILL compete in front of scouts. You WILL be given the opportunity to network with people. And lastly, you WILL be given the opportunity to make your dream come true!
Coming from NAIA and competing against D1 athletes, how would you describe this?
It was a great experience to go up against D1 receivers everyday. I feel I can guard & compete with the best of the best, so I was fitting right in! But it was heartwarming to be able to put on for most importantly myself but for all current NAIA athletes & future NAIA athletes!
What would you like for people to know about your football journey?
I want people to know that I am a living testimony that you can make it from anywhere! I made it this far from a NAIA school & so can you. You don’t have to be D1 to make it to the big screen. You just have to keep God first, believe in yourself & put in the workkkk! And remember, commit to where you are WANTED & not where you are TOLERATED! Chase Ya Dreams young athletes, even when nobody else is chasing it with you!
