Pittman’s Pocket: Shedeur Sanders did not disappoint the Browns faithful last night

Predicting Shedeur Sanders Statline if he was to Play for the Browns This Year
Shedeur Sanders did not disappoint the Browns faithful last night

Former Jackson State and Colorado University standout quarterback Shedeur Sanders made a strong impression in his latest preseason outing for the Cleveland Browns.

Sanders completed 14 of 23 passes for 138 yards and threw two touchdown passes—both in the first half to wide receiver Kaden Davis—before being replaced late in the third quarter by Tyler Huntley. The young quarterback also contributed 19 rushing yards on four carries, showcasing his mobility and ability to extend plays.

Throughout the game, Sanders demonstrated poise, accuracy, and composure, thriving under pressure and delivering precise throws in tight coverage. His ability to make plays on the move stood out as a sign of maturity and adaptability at the NFL level.

Sanders played the majority of the first three quarters, giving the Browns a meaningful sample size to evaluate his readiness. With this performance, he has likely secured his place on the roster—at least until the start of the regular season. By then, Cleveland will have a much clearer picture of the kind of quarterback Sanders can be for their future.
