Raven’s Safety Kyle Hamilton Among possible Winners of the 2026 Defensive Player of the Year

As the NFL offseason continues, NFL players have had time off to relax and prepare for training camp while teams look to improve and fans continue to speculate on what the next season will look like. As fans wonder who will take home the NFL’s awards, Ravens Safety Kyle Hamilton has gained traction as a winner of the Defensive Player of the Year.
Kyle Hamilton has been a key part of the Ravens passing defense since being drafted. In his career, he’s logged five interceptions, one defensive touchdown, 27 passes defended, four forced-fumbles and 250 tackles. In his playoff career Hamilton recorded one forced fumble and 35 total tackles. Hamilton is also a two time Pro Bowler and made his first All-Pro team in 2023.
In 2023, his first pro-bowl and All pro selection, the Ravens defense ranked 5th in total interceptions with 18 and led the league in forced fumbles and fumble recoveries. Hamilton was a major contributor that year with four interceptions, a defensive touchdown and one forced fumble. This past season, Hamilton continued his strong play, starting every single game and recording one interception, nine passes defended and two forced fumbles. However, the Ravens passing defense took a step back as they ranked 14th in total interceptions with 12 and 16th in forced fumbles with 12.
Overall it’s clear that Hamilton will be a contender for the title of 2026 Defensive Player of the Year given his importance to the Raven’s defense, especially their passing defense.
