Who is the NFL player you compare yourself the most to? Why is that?
I compare myself most to Fred Warner. His leadership, range, and football IQ really stand out to me. He plays fast, physical, and smart—something I strive to do every time I step on the field. Like Warner, I take pride in being able to communicate pre-snap, read offensive schemes quickly, and make plays sideline to sideline. His consistency and ability to elevate the entire defense is what I model my game after.
What aspects of playing in the NFL do you find to be intriguing?
What excites me most about the NFL is the level of preparation and competition. You’re going against the best athletes in the world, and there’s no room for shortcuts. I’m intrigued by the challenge of learning complex systems and thriving in high-pressure environments. The professional structure also appeals to me—being part of a team that’s truly a business and performing at the highest standard week after week.
In what ways have you improved since last season?
Since last season, I’ve improved in both my physical and mental approach to the game. I’ve gotten stronger and faster, focusing heavily on explosion and lateral quickness. But more importantly, I’ve developed my football IQ—studying film more intently, understanding offensive tendencies, and improving communication with my teammates on the field. I’ve also taken more of a leadership role, helping bring younger guys along and setting the tone in practice.
What is your favorite memory so far as a college football player?
My favorite memory was winning the Big Ten West and playing under the lights at Lucas Oil Stadium in the Big Ten Championship. The atmosphere, the stakes, and the brotherhood we shared that season made it unforgettable. Being part of that kind of team success after all the work we put in made it even more special.
What is the most important thing you would like NFL scouts, coaches and general managers to know about you?
I want them to know that I’m relentless. I love the game, and I approach it with a chip on my shoulder every day. I’ll outwork anyone, I’m coachable, and I do the little things right—whether it’s watching extra film, staying after practice, or helping my teammates. I’m someone you can count on to lead by example and raise the standard of any locker room I’m in.
