Former Chicago Bears Draft Pick Arrested for Vehicular Homicide after Fatal Crash

Former Ohio State football player Kirk Barton, 40, was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with aggravated vehicular homicide after a deadly crash in Dublin, Ohio.
According to city officials, Barton was driving his pickup truck at a high rate of speed when he struck a Lexus on West Bridge Street just before 3 a.m.
The driver of the Lexus, 24-year-old Ethan Perry, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Barton, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was treated at a local hospital and later taken into custody. He is currently being held at the Franklin County Jail.
A standout offensive guard for the Buckeyes, Barton was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft.
