Man accused of gunning down former Delaware Blue Hen LB David Mackall Jr. in broad daylight acquitted on all charges
David Mackall Jr. was one of the most underrated linebackers in the FCS when he graduated from Delaware.
A 20-year-old man named Kalim Satterfield was arrested in connection with the murder of a former University of Delaware back in 2019, and this week he was acquitted on all charges.
The not guilty verdict came down following a four-day trial in Baltimore City Circuit Court.
Satterfield’s attorney accused Baltimore Police detectives of using coercive tactics in order to get witnesses to falsely identify Satterfield as the shooter.
Mackall’s family said he was shot 15 times, including in the head in broad daylight.
David started all 12 games his senior year while leading 6-6 Delaware with 84 tackles. He is missed deeply. The 28-year-old, was shot and killed on May 29, 2019. He leaves behind two sons.
