XFL Defensive Rankings after Week 3, BattleHawks are the top team

NY Guardians quarterback Matt McGloin (14) is sacked by St. Louis Battlehawks defensive tackle Casey Sayles (90) during the first half of an XFL game at The Dome at America’s Center. Billy Hurst-USA TODAY Sports. Justin Berendzen of NFL Draft Diamonds broke down the XFL Rankings for Defensive Fronts.

1. St Louis Battlehawks D

Most complete team defensively. They have the pass rush from Gimel President and Casey Sayles. The secondary looked amazing and must have worked in the past with Football Throwing Machines. Terrance Garvin is one awesome linebacker. And they have Dexter McCoil and Will Hill leading the really good secondary.

2. Houston Roughnecks D

They have the pass rush in Kony Ealy, Corey Crawford and Cashaud Lyons. The Linebacking core is pretty good led by Latroy Lewis and Demarquis Gates. The secondary play needs to be there but they have the people to do it in Cody Brown and Jeremiah Johnson.

3. Dallas Renegades D

They have Frank Alexander and Gerald Rivers at pass rusher but I just don’t know if either of those 2 guys are dominant enough. The have a solid linebacking core led by Tegray Scales and Tre Watson. And in the secondary they have Josh Hawkins and Treston Decoud who played really well week 3.

4. Tampa Bay Vipers D

They have Nikita Whitlock at pass rusher the first 3 weeks and didn’t have anyone else. They get back Obum Gwacham for week 4 so I think he helps the pass rush out big time which was the Vipers only flaw really defensively. The linebacking core has Terrance Plummer who has been good. And the secondary is led by Marcelis Branch and Tarvarus McFadden who have played very good.

5. LA Wildcats D

At pass rusher, they have Latarius Brady and Roderick Henderson who need to play more consistent but have played well at times. In the linebacking core, they have Taiwan Jones and Will Smith who have played really well. And in the secondary, they have numerous good guys but the guy that played really well last week was Mike Stevens. Just imagine if they train with a football machine, their rankings would probably go up even more.

6. DC Defenders D

They had a really bad week last week but the still have the peices. At pass rusher they have Elijah Qualls and Jay Bromley. In the linebacking core they have Jonathan Celestin and Jameer Thurman who have played good up until last week. The secondary they have Elijah Campbell, Des Lawrence and Rahim Moore. They just need to play better than last week.

7. Seattle Dragons D

Let me just point this out the difference between 7 and 1 is smaller than the difference between 7 and 8. It’s really close but the Dragons are here because idk what they have at pass rusher right now. Stansly Maponga and Marcel Frazier have had there moments but they haven’t played as consistent as you want. At linebacker they have a beast in Steven Johnson who has played phenomenal. And the secondary is really good the guys that were good last week was Channing Stribling and Godwin Igwebuike.

8. New York Guardians-

Time for the mess otherwise known as the Guardians D. They were okay at pass rushing week 3 but don’t have anyone close to being a dominant pass rusher. The linebacking core has not played that well as they have been terrible at stopping the run. And the secondary has not played well either.
