VIDEO: Florida Mother Arrested for Kicking a Football Player after a fight breaks out on the field

A Florida mother was arrested Saturday in Fort Myers after authorities say she ran onto the field during a youth football game and assaulted a child.
The incident occurred during a Pop Warner Little Scholars game at Brooks Community Park. According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were alerted to a disturbance involving players from both teams following a play that escalated into a physical altercation.
Authorities said video from the scene shows a woman, later identified as Renee Lambert, entering the field and kicking a young player during the chaos. You can see the video below:
Body camera footage captured deputies questioning Lambert, who claimed a child had struck her with a helmet, prompting her reaction. However, investigators later determined that her account was not supported by evidence.
During the exchange, Lambert asked deputies, “Are you mad at them for hitting me?” to which one deputy responded, “I’m mad at an adult for attacking a kid.”
Lambert was taken into custody and faces charges of cruelty toward a child, child abuse without great bodily harm, and resisting an officer, according to the sheriff’s office.
