Former Second Round NFL Draft Pick Rondale Moore dead at the age of 25

Rondale Moore, a second-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals, has reportedly passed away at the age of 25.
The Floyd County, Indiana Coroner’s Office confirmed that Moore died on Saturday. An autopsy has been scheduled, and the cause of death remains under investigation.
Moore was a standout multi-sport athlete during his high school career. He began at New Albany High School, where he helped lead the Bulldogs to a state championship in basketball before transferring to Trinity High School. At Trinity, Moore played a key role in guiding the Shamrocks to the 2016 Class 6A state football championship.
Following high school, Moore was named the 2017 Gatorade Kentucky Player of the Year and received the prestigious Paul Hornung Award. He went on to play collegiately at Purdue University under head coach Jeff Brohm, a fellow Trinity alumnus.
An All-American at Purdue, Moore played a pivotal role in the Boilermakers’ signature win over the Ohio State Buckeyes on October 20, 2018. In that game, Moore recorded 12 receptions for 170 yards and two touchdowns.
Moore was selected in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft by Arizona. He later signed with the Minnesota Vikings in 2025. His professional career was impacted by multiple injuries, including a season-ending knee injury suffered during the Vikings’ 2025 preseason opener.
