Villanova Football Player Arrested and Charged for Reportedly Sexually Assaulting Another Student

Villanova University Police have arrested and charged a student in connection with a reported sexual assault involving another student.
The suspect has been identified as D’Hani Cobbs. Cobbs was previously listed as a wide receiver on Villanova’s football roster, though his player biography has since been removed from the university’s athletics website. According to an ESPN statistics page, Cobbs is a freshman from Camden, New Jersey.
University officials said the arrest is related to an alleged assault that occurred in December. Cobbs has been charged, and bail has been set at $250,000.
In a statement, Villanova University emphasized that sexual violence is not tolerated on campus and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting victims while maintaining a safe environment for all students.
The investigation remains ongoing.
