Former LSU WR Devonta Lee died at the age of 27 after a battle with cancer

Former LSU & LA Tech wide receiver Devonta Lee has passed away at the age of 27, his family confirmed.
The wide receiver starred at Amite High School, helping lead his team to a state championship in 2018.
A top recruit in Louisiana, he committed to LSU and spent three seasons with the Tigers before finishing his collegiate career at Louisiana Tech.
During the 2022 season, Lee was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer, after seeking medical attention for severe back pain. His treatment included two surgeries along with weeks of chemotherapy and radiation.
One year later, Lee was declared cancer-free — and remarkably, he made his return to the football field.
The former star receiver tragically passed away after a battle with cancer returned.
Please keep the family in your prayers.
