Former Bills Linebacker Darron Lee Charged With Murder in Tennessee

Former Buffalo Bills linebacker Darron Lee has been charged in connection with the death of his girlfriend in Tennessee.
According to law enforcement, officers were dispatched to a residence near Ooltewah following a report of CPR in progress. Upon arrival, police located an adult female victim and immediately attempted life-saving measures. Despite those efforts, the victim later succumbed to her injuries.
Detectives responded to the scene and, following their investigation, ruled the death a homicide. Authorities identified Lee, 31, as the primary suspect in the case.
Lee has been formally charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence. He is currently being held without bond at a local detention facility.
Court records indicate that Lee is scheduled to make his first court appearance next Wednesday.
Lee, a former first-round NFL Draft pick, previously played linebacker for the New York Jets before later spending time with the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs during his professional football career.
This remains an active investigation. Law enforcement officials have not released additional details at this time.
Prayers are extended to the family and loved ones of the victim during this difficult time.
