Tuskegee Football Player Will Be Punished for Pushing a Marching Band Member
Thanksgiving football was going wild this year during the Alabama State’s Turkey Day Classic against Tuskegee. A video that went viral from @ayetorious on X shows Lorcan Ryans proceeding to warm up while the ASU Marching Hornets were performing.
He kicked the football over the band members and did an obscene gesture to a fan. But the second part of the video shows him push a female member of the band. You can see the video below:
Well, Tuskegee is not having it.
Tuskegee University Director of Athletics Reginald Ruffin said:
“The incident involving a member of the Tuskegee football team pushing a member of the Mighty Marching Hornets at the conclusion of halftime was both unacceptable and unwarranted. It in no way reflects the spirit of healthy rivalry or the character of either historic institution. Vice President Reginald Ruffin reached out to me and I am confident that appropriate actions will be taken.”
Alabama State would go on to smother the Tuskegee football team 58-21, and it looks like a punishment will be handed down to Ryans.
