San Francisco 49ers vs Indianapolis Colts | Week 16 Monday Night Football Preview & Prediction

Brock Purdy, Kyle Shanahan, George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers take on Philip Rivers, Jonathan Taylor, Michael Pittman Jr, Shane Steichen and the Indianapolis Colts in a huge game on Monday Night Football. It’s a must win game if the Colts are to get back into the Playoff picture after losing 5 of 6 games.

The Daniel Jones injury and Sauce Gardner injury have been catastrophic to their chances of making a Super Bowl run and losing 2 first round picks to the New York Jets in incredibly rich talent drafts in 2026 and 2027.

The 49ers clinch a playoff spot with a win or a Lions loss on Sunday, they are an amazing story this year. After the Fred Warner injury, Brock Purdy injury and Nick Bosa injury, it appeared as if they had no chance to salvage the season but Mac Jones did a great job keeping them afloat and above 500 until until Purdy returned to the lineup. Now, fantasy football playoffs are underway and Christian McCaffrey is one of the top players, many people will be relying on him to have a big performance in this game.

It will be a difficult task with the DeForest Buckner injury which sidelines the former 49er and one of the best run stuffers in the league, Zaire Franklin will have the responsibility of covering him out of the backfield and limiting him. Laiatu Latu, J.T. Tuimoloau and the rest of the front 7 will need to get pressure on Purdy consistently as the run game will be tough enough to stop. The Brandon Aiyuk injury has kept the best pass catcher off the field for San Francisco but Jajuan Jennings, Ricky Pearsall and Kendrick Bourne have picked up the slack in the receiving room and made the offense click their matchups with Kenny Moore and Charvarius Ward will be must see action.

John Lynch did a great job constructing this roster to endure free agents like Dre Greenlaw and Deebo Samuel leaving, he deserves a ton of credit for keeping them within striking distance of making a run in the postseason. This will be an incredible game with massive stakes on the line, enjoy this Blitz With Blinder Video hosted by Josh Blinder.
