Detroit Lions vs Philadelphia Eagles – Week 11 Preview & Prediction

Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles remain one of the hardest teams to beat in the NFL, despite what their performances may be perceived to be by the media. They held the “Super Bowl Contending” Green Bay Packers to 7 points on the road at Lambeau field and improved to 7-2 on the back of Quinyon Mitchell, Jalen Carter and Zach Baun.

On Sunday Night Football, they host the Detroit Lions and Jared Goff in a game that could determine the number 1 seed in the NFC, come the playoffs in January. The Lane Johnson injury is concerning, but he came back in the second half and held Micah Parsons at bay once again, he’ll be facing Aidan Hutchinson time and again at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Lions secondary is banged up as the Kerby Joseph injury has hurt their secondary as well as the DJ Reed injury, although they have played well in the back end with Brian Branch playing at a pro bowl level.

Offensively with Dan Campbell now back to calling plays the Lions are scary as Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery will most likely combine for 30-35 carries and expect Jameson Williams and Amon Ra St-Brown to get about 15-20 targets as they’ll need to get the ball to their best to put up points against an Eagles defense playing great under Vic Fangio.

The offense for Philadelphia has to take shots to Devonta Smith and any chance for a target to AJ Brown in single coverage must be taken in order to open up Saquon Barkley and the ground game.

This is easily one of the 10 biggest games of the season, get ready for a heavyweight fight between two of the NFL’s best!
