What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

The moment I got on the field I felt like it was for me, things came to me so naturally that I knew I wanted to play, and playing for my father only made the decision easier.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My all time favorite football moment was returning a interception for a 83 yard touchdown, next would be making 3 tackles to end the championship game in little league, and my homecoming night performance in high-school where I scored 3 touchdowns.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mother because she deals with all of her battles with her head high and chest up no matter the circumstances.

What are you looking to achieve in the rest of your season?

I will be an All American, and just the make the most of every opportunity I get to put my team in the best position possible to win a ring.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

Kam Chancellor, because of the energy he brings , and I would like to know what his thought processes are like on and off the field.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Baldwin Wallace?

How small the team is, everyone knows everyone and it’s made it a lot easier to create a brotherhood, the diversity and being able to use the Browns indoor training facility.

What should we know about Devontae Jackson the person?

I will always find a way no matter who’s around me or what’s around me.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

4-3 nickel package, because it allows me to play to my strengths.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Head on, knowing that what I can’t control God will.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A leader who is a relentless worker, that is able to be in or around multiple settings or people and is able to perform on and off the field.

What stands out about your film the most?

My hustle and ability to always be around the ball.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Nolan Hartsel because of his sideline to sideline speed and ability to tackle.
