What is your favorite workout or drill and why?

Footwork, bag work, hitting a sled making sure my striking is right. Definitely working on foot work though.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player in the next 3 years?

Getting onto a 53-man roster in the NFL.

What is one thing scouts should see about your game and why?

I’m a big body that is quick and fast and I’m powerful, I’m an A-gap stopper. Nobody’s running into my gap and I’m working on my game as a pass rusher.

What does a normal day look like for DeMeco Roland?

A normal day is waking up going for a five-mile walk and since I got released from a team, right now I’m working as a teacher at Broken Arrow high school and coaching JV and Varsity, and I have a third-grade team that I coach as well and then I work out after school every day.

Which current or former NFL coach would you want to learn from the most and why?

I don’t have any specific head coach I’d like to learn from, I just want to get under an NFL head coach and develop my game.

What was your favorite experience from the last team you were on?

Being on the Seahawks just getting in with the vets and talking to come of them and just picking their brains about the game and how they treat their body and just trying to learn and take from what they’ve learned and trying to add that to my craft.

Which one of your former teammates deserves a chance and why?

Tre Pinkney, he was a linebacker at Southern Miss. I think he deserves a chance because he’s a very versatile guy, he can cover and he’s a real run stopping linebacker, but the crazy thing is he can really cover the pass and he’s smart.

What makes you an intriguing player that deserves to be signed?

It’s really hard for teams to scheme up runs against me. I’m going to give everything I got every play and take no breaks, and I just love to win and I hate losing. I love competition so wherever I’m going to go I’m going to be a competitor.
