Former Star Patriots Football Player Arrested for Violent Altercation with his Baby Mama

Court documents obtained by TMZ Sports reveal that NFL offensive lineman Shaq Mason was arrested early Wednesday morning after an alleged violent altercation with the mother of his child at her Franklin, Tennessee home.
According to the records, Mason is accused of breaking into the residence around 3:11 a.m., entering the woman’s bedroom, and choking her. He then allegedly struck her in the mouth before threatening to kill her. Police noted in their report that the victim had a “fresh laceration” on her lower lip. Authorities also said Mason later sent her a selfie accompanied by a text message that read, “I’m gonna kill you.”
Mason, a 31-year-old lineman who won two Super Bowls with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, was taken into custody following a traffic stop shortly after the incident. He was booked on multiple charges, including aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, harassment, and driving with a suspended license.
The Franklin Police Department confirmed Mason remained in custody as of Wednesday afternoon. He is tentatively scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on the matter in October.
