Arkansas High School Football Coach Arrested on Felony Rape Charges of a Minor

An Arkansas high school football coach was formally charged with rape on August 11 following an investigation into allegations of sexual assault involving a minor.
Caleb Hunter Gannon, 27, who served as the head coach for Clarendon High School’s football team, was arrested after an inquiry led by the Arkansas State Police (ASP).
Gannon was a first year coach to take over for Clarendon football program. This is a pretty serious allegation.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office requested that the ASP’s Criminal Investigation Division look into the allegations against Gannon on July 30, 2025. As a result, Gannon was apprehended on August 10 during a traffic stop in West Memphis. The following day, Gannon made his initial court appearance, where he was formally charged with rape and engaging children in sexually explicit conduct for use in visual or print media.
A judge set Gannon’s bond at $3 million, and he is currently being held at the Prairie County Detention Center.
