Super Bowl Champion Jonathan Vilma Arrested in Miami for Driving with Suspended License

According to radio host Andy Slater, former NFL linebacker and current FOX Sports analyst Jonathan Vilma was arrested this week in Miami. Slater reports that Vilma was initially pulled over for driving with expired tags and was later taken into custody for operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
Vilma, a Coral Gables native, is a University of Miami alum and was a standout player for the Miami Hurricanes. During his collegiate career, he helped lead the 2001 Miami Hurricanes to a national championship and earned All-American and all-conference honors. That 2001 Miami team is widely regarded as one of the greatest in college football history, producing an astounding 38 NFL draft picks—including 17 first-rounders, among them Vilma.
The New York Jets selected Vilma 12th overall in the 2004 NFL Draft. He was later traded to the New Orleans Saints in 2008, where he played a pivotal role in the franchise’s Super Bowl XLIV victory. Following his playing career, Vilma transitioned into broadcasting and currently serves as an NFL analyst for FOX.
Details regarding Vilma’s arrest remain limited, and no official statement has been released by his representatives.
