Twin sister of Alabama freshman QB found dead days after they graduated high school
Kiersten Russell, the twin sister of Alabama freshman quarterback Keelon Russell, has tragically passed away, according to reports.
The Tuscaloosa Police Department confirmed Kiersten’s death in a statement released on Wednesday, June 4.
“The investigation is ongoing pursuant to the procedures mentioned above, and at this time appears to be non-criminal in nature,” the statement read. Authorities also noted that “no other information will be released at this time.”
Police said their Violent Crimes Unit collaborated with the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences during the early stages of the investigation. That included the initial response, examining the physical scene, and gathering information from family members and witnesses.
Kiersten’s passing comes as her brother Keelon begins his college football journey with the University of Alabama.
Please keep the Russell family in your prayers.
