Two HBCU Programs Reload with Top JUCO Talent in 2025 Recruiting Class

Two storied HBCU football programs continue to make waves on the recruiting trail, securing commitments from two of the top junior college prospects in the 2025 class.

Morgan State bolstered its secondary with the addition of Aki Harvey, a 6’4”, 190-pound cornerback from Georgia Technical College. Known for his size, speed, and physicality, Harvey brings a skill set reminiscent of former Morgan standout Ja’Son Prevard. Both are long, aggressive defenders with the ability to shut down wideouts on the perimeter. Head Coach Damon Wilson and his staff made Harvey a clear priority—and landed a major piece for their defense.

Meanwhile, Alabama A&M Head Coach Sam Shade continues to rebuild the Bulldogs’ front seven. The program recently added Kylon Roberts, a 6’4”, 250-pound defensive end from Lackawanna Community College. Roberts possesses an explosive first step and a versatile frame that allows him to line up both at the 5-tech and inside at the 3. Whether overpowering tackles or slicing past guards, Roberts adds immediate pass rush value to a unit in need of disruption.

Congratulations to Coaches Wilson and Shade for reloading with elite junior college talent as they continue to push their programs forward in 2025.
