49ers Extend QB Brock Purdy | Does he Deserve the $$?

Mr. Irrelevant has been paid! The San Francisco 49ers have extended starting QB Brock Purdy to a 5 year, 265 million dollar contract. The estimated guarantees are around 181 million dollars.
Brock Purdy, a former Iowa State Cyclone, has had a roller coaster of a career so far. From the last pick in the 2022 draft, to hurting his elbow in an NFC championship game and eventually winning the starting job over Trey Lance.
Purdy has thrown for 9518 yards and 64 touchdowns in his career so far. He has made the Super Bowl and the Pro Bowl in his 3 years on San Francisco. His record as a starter is 23-13. This certainly warranted a contract extension, but at what cost?
This contract may be hefty, and I am certain people will hate on it, but Purdy has undoubtedly proven himself to be a high caliber NFL QB. This is the going rate for extensions or signings at the QB position. Brock Purdy has the chance of a lifetime, to continue to prove he belongs in the top 10 QB conversation with his worst supporting cast yet.
