What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

My pops played football in the 1980’s middle school, high school and college at Cincinnati and he was my big inspiration, and I was wrestling and doing track and field and then in 8th grade I thought I was going to be a wide like my dad and they moved me to offensive line, and I fell in love with offensive line and still play it.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My 2022 season in college, my first year since 2014 my team made the playoffs, and I started the season at guard, and I enjoyed it, and I got all conference and knew I could build off of it in my offensive line play and show my versatility on the offensive line.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I just want to be the best version of myself in football and reach the NFL and show how much of a good player I am and show people I can do it and show my nieces and nephews they can do it, and I want to lead by example and reach the highest version of myself.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

Trent Williams, that guy is a dog and he has an impactful story from his injury and is now one of the best tackles in the league and I would love to pick his brain and see what drives him and take pieces of information from what he knows.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My father, him being a football player but also a coach of my life and was a wrestling, football and track guy, I tried to follow in those footsteps and he does what needs to be done and still helps me out and my mother as well both inspire me to get where I need to go and help me out.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

I’m a big pass protection guy; I love the art of pass protection keeping what you need to do in front of you and taking care of what you need to do. I love pass protection both as a tackle and guard but tackle more so because of what it takes. Inside zone, I love running the ball downfield with combo guards and pancaking guys downfield and I love the effectiveness of it.

What should we know about Vincent Munlin Jr the person?

I am a loyal, hardworking individual, outgoing, like caring about my business, I’m a leader by example and I believe if a team took me in, they would love how easy I am to work with and I’m about my business and if a team gets me, they will see that and I’m big in my faith.

What stands out about your film the most?

My versatility, I have 2 years of guard experience and one year of tackle film that you can see, and I’ve even played tight end, and I have great movement as an offensive lineman, and you can put me anywhere on the field and I can get the job done.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

My faith in God. I know there is a God out there directing my life and I put my trust and faith in him. I try to take each challenge as a learning experience, and I ask my parents for advice as well and appreciate what they’ve done for me.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A player that’s going to do what he needs to do wherever you put him and work hard and take care of his business where you put him and is a versatile player who you can put anywhere you need and I’ll help the team.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

The team/ family aspect of it, Eastern Kentucky had a brotherhood and a family atmosphere and just meeting new people and watching it all come together as a team and the offensive line is close and they have to protect the quarterback and make holes for the running back and I love that about the game.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Darrian Baker, we came into college together and we made each other better and he’s a dominant force. Marvion Field, another player I practiced against every single day, and he dominated. Gabe Fletcher, came into college with Gabe, watch out for him this season, I have a feeling he’s going to dominate on the field this upcoming season.
