Tetairoa McMillan has emerged as one of the most electrifying wide receivers in college football, showcasing a blend of size, skill, and production that has multiple NFL scouts taking notice.

 Collegiate Excellence

Standing at 6’5” and weighing 215 pounds, McMillan’s physical attributes make him a formidable presence on the field. In the 2024 season, he led the Power 4 conferences with 1,319 receiving yards, averaging 109.9 yards per game, and secured 84 receptions, ranking seventh in the Power 4. His standout performance against New Mexico, where he amassed 304 receiving yards and four touchdowns, set a new school record and earned him multiple national players of the week honors.

Over his collegiate career, McMillan has accumulated 3,423 receiving yards, making him Arizona’s all-time leader in that category. His 26 career touchdown receptions rank third in program history, and his 213 receptions place him fourth.

NFL Draft: Ideal Team Fits

As McMillan transitions to the professional level, several NFL teams could benefit from his talents, but with some of the top teams in the 2025 NFL Draft already hinting at who they may select, here are the teams I think McMillan has a real shot with landing with.

New York Jets

The easy answer for the Jets picking at #7 is an offensive line prospect, as they couldn’t keep an immobile Aaron Rodgers up right, however if you look at their WR talent for the upcoming season it’s very slim. Pairing McMillan with Garrett Wilson could prove to be a lethal and sneaky good combo especially with Justin Fields now at the helm at QB.

Dallas Cowboys:

Who do you fear on the Cowboys offense outside of Ceedee Lamb? If you’re having a hard time coming up with that answer this is why the Cowboys selecting McMillan should be a no brainer. Even though the team has brought in Javontae Williams and Miles Sanders, a lot of Dallas fans are still wondering who will fill the hole at running back this upcoming year.  With how deep this RB class truly is, this issue can be addressed in a later round. Another threat at WR opposite of Lamb must be the pick.

Miami Dolphins:

The Dolphins offense has been explosive the last few years with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but with how the off-season has been going in Miami, Tyreek could be on his way out. Drafting McMillan would allow the Dolphins to continuously shop Hill, while still having a top receiving threat to fall back on. As we know, the NFL is all about planning for the future. Wide receiver may not be their top priority, but McMillan makes sense here.

Seattle Seahawks:

DK Metcalf was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tyler Lockett is a current free agent, leaving Jaxson-Smith Njigba as the only real WR piece on their roster. New signing Sam Darnold needs someone to throw the ball to so why not plug in an explosive talent like McMillan?

(Sleeper Fit) Green Bay Packers:

The Packers wide reciever room is in terrible shape. Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson are all solid WR #2’s or 3’s, but none can be considered a number one option. In this past season and playoffs, all three of these wide receivers got hurt at one point or another. Even their star Running back Josh Jacobs said this offseason they don’t have a true #1 WR and that the team desperately needs one. I think this is a possible trade up scenario for the cheese heads.

Tetairoa McMillan’s combination of physical prowess, collegiate production, and versatility positions him as a top prospect in the upcoming NFL Draft. The Teams listed above are seeking a reliable and dynamic wide receiver and I think they will find immense value in his skill. Keep your eyes glued to this year draft as McMillan will find a home and provide a team the star receiver they’ve been looking for.
