2026 NFL Draft Prospect Interview: Ronald Jackson, DB, Old Dominion

- Name: Ronald Jackson
- Position: Defensive Back
- College: Old Dominion
- Who is the NFL player you compare yourself to the most? Why is that?
Jalen Ramsey is who I compare myself most to. Why? Because he can play every position in the backfield such as corner, nickel and safety and I’ve played those three positions at a high level. He’s aggressive in the run game and he’s also a big body on the perimeter which I believe that I contain the same characteristics.
- What aspects of playing in the NFL do you find to be intriguing?
The competitiveness and the drive that these guys bring every game is very intriguing to me; also the preparation it takes because they are going against elite competition each week.
- In what ways have you improved since last season?
I feel that my technique has improved a lot from last season. Also my understanding of the game and the preparation that I do before workouts and practice.
- What is your favorite memory so far as a college football player?
My favorite memory is beating Montana State in the 2023 conference championship game and also being able to compete in the 2023 FCS national championship.
- What is the most important thing you would like NFL scouts, coaches, and general managers to know about you?
I would want them to know that they are getting a ferocious competitor. I would want them to know that they are getting a hard worker and someone who will run through a wall for them, as well as a great team guy who would do whatever I can for my teammates.
