Player Summary: RS SR and 2 yr full-time starter on the OL where he aligns at RT in the zone heavy blocking scheme of IAUN. He played RG in ’22. He possesses subpar height with above-average weight and solid speed with a powerful build. He is a solid athlete possessing a combination of good COD, solid acceleration, explosiveness, lateral quickness and agility with adequate balance and solid play speed. He is an above-average run blocker. He fires off the ball quickly before latching on and generates movement at the POA with his good foot drive and play strength vs EDGE and 3Twith average size. When blocking at the 2nd level, he displays solid play speed and exhibits great FBI as he takes good angles before using his good play strength to overpower LB. He exhibits very good physical toughness at the POA as he imposes his will against LB and DL with adequate AA before finishing the block to the ground for a pancake. In pass pro, he plays with a good, wide base and keeps his feet moving. He displays good reactive athleticism as he resets his feet to mirror EDGE with average AA and can pick up IDL with ordinary lateral quickness and agility twisting towards the outside. He displays good competitiveness as he plays until thewhistle constantly. He displays average UOH in his punch, placement and timing while run blocking as he struggles to consistently strike the breastplate of the EDGE. His adequate UOHin pass pro enables EDGE rushers with good length and hand placement to win battles with their hands inside when executing a bullrush or long arm technique as he attempts to anchor. He displays mediocre balance as he struggles to keep his weight over his toes consistently. Lack of quality flexibility prevents him from bending at the knee while in pass pro.
Scheme Fit: OG/OT in a run heavy zone scheme.
Power Statement: Tough, intelligent, athletic player who plays well as a run blocker and shows solid reactive athleticism in pass pro. Plays with a mean streak and finishes blocks with ease. Lacks consistency in his UOH while run blocking and in pass pro.
