Grady Judd slams Florida High School football coach who was arrested for inappropriate behavior with female students

Tyler Eden, 31, the head football coach of Bartow High School is accused of inappropriate behavior with three female students at Bartow High School.

Eden is facing felony and misdemeanor charges to include:

• Lewd offense against a student by an authority figure
• Lewd and lascivious touching of a minor
• Voyeurism

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation into Tyler Eden, 31, began on April 2, 2025, after a parent reported inappropriate conversations between their daughter and Eden.

“At the end of the day, he’s coached his last football game. He fumbled. He’s going to be held accountable and the good guys win,” Judd said.

The Polk County Sherriff’s Office says the teen met with Eden to help him with athletic chores so she could earn community service hours.

In the locker room, Eden allegedly told the teen he wanted to have sex with her despite the fact that he’s married. Another day the teen’s hoodie was caught in a box and the zipper broke. So she asked the coach for a shirt. She claims Eden tried to fix her zipper.

When the teen went to another locker room he followed her in their and commented on her bra. He continued to say that there were no cameras in the locker room.

Two other students have come forward after the first teen’s allegations. Another student said Eden asked her what she wanted to do after graduation. When she said she wanted to be a gynecologist, Eden allegedly said he would be a good fit for that job himself because he liked performing oral sex on women.

Eden was placed on leave after he admitted to trying to help a student fix her zipper.

Polk County Public Schools the district is moving forward with terminating Eden’s employment.
