What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
My dad was the reason I wanted to become a football player when I moved with him he wanted to get me into sports and football was the first one.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
My favorite moments from my football life is beating Toledo twice at their place and beating Minnesota and Georgia Tech.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I’m looking forward to achieving better skills and knowledge of the game as I continue my career.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?
I would hang out with Tom Brady for the day. Growing up he was my favorite player. He won a lot and was a leader of some great teams so he can talk to me about what it takes to be a leader and win.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My siblings (I have too many to pick one) inspire me the most they look up to me so I do what I can to keep making them proud.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
My favorite scheme is a 3 down scheme because I’m able to make plays in two gaps.
What should we know about Dontrez Brown the person?
You all should know I’m a good person, I care a lot about people and making good connections. Also very chill and laid back.
What stands out about your film the most?
I think my strength stands out the most on film both in the run and pass game. As well as my play recognition.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I handle challenges well just knowing I’m giving my best at whatever I’m doing and if I don’t succeed I find the root of the problem and fix it.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A team would get a player who’s ready to work everyday, a great teammate, somebody who loves all aspects of the game both physically and mentally on the field, weight room and meeting rooms.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
What I love most is the bonds you create and the structure football brings you. Since I was 12 football has brought a routine to my life and I enjoy having a routine. The bonds in the brotherhood you have when you are on a team. My closest friends are some of my teammates.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Underrated I’d say Demetrius Hardamon, he is one of the hardest working people I’ve met while playing football day in and day out, he lived football and not many people saw that besides us players and the coaches.
