What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Really once I’ve seen how good of a frame I had throughout high school and middle school.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Catching the game winning interception in 2 overtime’s in high school. Winning the SWAC Championship two times. Traveling around the world. The bond I have with all of the players I have played with. Most importantly meeting new people that have a positive mindset.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Making a name for myself, and being one of the top defensive tackles one day.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

I’ll say Aaron Donald just because he is a dominant player that plays the same position as me and I feel like I can learn a lot from him within the game and life.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

All of my family members inspire me but in different ways but they all know what they bring to the table.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

My favorite is 4-2-5 or 3-3-5. With the 4-2-5  you know what you are about to get and you are able to play freely. 3-3-5 because I’m so quick off the ball that in two ways I can go mess up a lot within the offensive line.

What should we know about Devonta Davis the person?

Devonta Davis is a caring and respectful person, he is a hard worker and he is someone that you can trust. He is a great vibe no matter where he’s at.

What stands out about your film the most?

My get off most definitely and my nose to always be around the football.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

In life I handle challenges by praying for a better situation and in football I pray also but I try to stay level headed not too high, not too low.

What would a team get in a player like you?

What a team would get in a player like me is a player that is always willing to learn new things and player that’s always trying to get better no matter what it is.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

This is the only game you can hit someone over and over and not get in trouble for it, and you meet lots of people and make new connections throughout football.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

The most underrated player I have played with is Jeremiah Williams at Jackson State just because I feel like they still are not giving him the recognition he should be getting. He is a straight dog !!!!
