What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I’ve had a passion for football ever since I was a kid. Growing up with older brothers who were involved in sports, I was constantly surrounded by the competitive spirit and energy of the game. Their influence, combined with my own love for football, really inspired me to pursue it seriously and work toward becoming the best player I can be.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Some of my favorite moments in football have come right after a win. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of walking into the locker room with your teammates, knowing all the hard work paid off. The energy, the excitement, the sense of unity, it’s an unforgettable experience and one of the things I love most about the game.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Going forward, my goal is to become the best player I can possibly be. I’ve been blessed with natural athletic ability and a strong football IQ, and I want to continue developing both to maximize my potential. For me, it’s about constantly improving, staying coachable, and doing whatever it takes to help my team succeed.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

If I could spend a day with any football player, it would be Deion Sanders. Beyond his incredible athletic ability, what really stands out to me is his presence, his confidence, positivity, and the way he carries himself both on and off the field. He’s the greatest to ever play my position, and his understanding of the game is on another level. Having the opportunity to learn from him, hear about his approach to preparation and competition, and gain insight into his mindset would be invaluable. It’s not just about his talent, but the energy and standard he set for what it means to be elite.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

The family member who inspires me the most is my older brother, Bruce Brown. Watching his journey to the NBA has been incredibly motivating for me, especially as I pursue my own path to the NFL. We’ve done almost everything together growing up, so seeing him go from earning minutes to becoming an NBA Champion shows me what’s possible with hard work and resilience. His success gives me confidence in my own goals, because I’ve seen firsthand what it takes to reach the highest level.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

My favorite defensive schemes are the 3-4 and the 4-2-5. I like the versatility they offer, both allow for multiple looks and create opportunities to disguise coverages and bring pressure from different angles. The 3-4 gives flexibility with linebacker play, while the 4-2-5 is great for matching up against spread offenses. I feel comfortable in both and appreciate how they allow defenders to be aggressive while still playing with discipline.

What should we know about Bryquice Brown the person?

I’m a God-fearing man who values dedication, hard work, and integrity in everything I do. I’m passionate about inspiring and uplifting the next generation, especially through mentorship and leading by example. I’m also a huge sports enthusiast, while I enjoy all sports, I’ve always believed I could have excelled in baseball if I had stuck with it longer.

What stands out about your film the most?

What stands out most about my film is my consistent production and instinct for being around the ball. Whether it’s a pass deflection, interception, or forcing a fumble, I take pride in creating turnovers and getting the ball back for my team in multiple ways. My physicality and willingness to tackle also show up clearly on tape. Beyond that, I have a strong feel for route concepts. I make it a point to study wide receivers and even talk to them to better understand their perspective and the QB-WR relationship. That attention to detail allows me to anticipate routes and make plays more effectively.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

When faced with challenges, I always start by taking a step back to assess the situation and think critically about how to approach it. On the football field, I adopt a ‘next play’ mentality, no matter what just happened, I stay focused on the opportunity ahead to make a positive impact for the team. Every play is a new chance to contribute and help us win. Off the field, I rely on my support system, a strong team of mentors, coaches, and peers, to talk through issues and tackle them one at a time. I believe in staying composed, solution-oriented, and always moving forward.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A team would be getting a hardworking, dedicated, and team-first player with a deep passion for the game. I pride myself on being a film junkie, constantly studying to improve my understanding of route concepts and offensive tendencies. I’m a versatile defender who can play anywhere in the secondary, and I pick up route progressions quickly. I have a natural feel for the route tree, and while I understand that NFL routes are typically deeper and more complex, I’m eager to learn new schemes and fully embrace whatever role is needed to help the team succeed long-term.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

What I love most about the game of football is the competitiveness and the grind that comes with it. There’s something special about the work we put in throughout the week, the preparation, the discipline, and the focus, all leading up to the opportunity to showcase our efforts on game day. It’s a blessing to be able to represent not only myself, but also my family, my community, and the people who have supported me along the way. Beyond that, having the chance to inspire the next generation and show them that success is possible through hard work and dedication means a great deal to me.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

I’d say Cam Martinez. He’s one of the most versatile players I’ve ever been around, you can plug him in anywhere on the back end, whether it’s at nickel, safety, or corner. He brings a wide skill set to the field and even contributes on special teams as a punt and kickoff returner. What makes him stand out is his sneaky speed and natural twitch. He’s incredibly instinctive and athletic, and I think those traits often go under the radar, which is why I consider him one of the most underrated players I’ve played with.
