Browns Have No Choice but to choose Shadeur Sanders

As the NFL Draft approaches it is looking very much likely that with the number 1 pick in the NFL Draft the Tennessee Titans will select former University of Miami QB Cam Ward. With that scenario becoming more and more of an unkept secret the Cleveland Browns find themselves in a franchise altering decision. Deshaun Watson not the answer! Jameis just signed with the Giants, Kenny Pickett is currently your best starting option. Don’t know about you I’m not paying season ticket prices right now to see Kenny Pickett. But I would pay season tickets prices to see Shadeur Sanders. 

This brings me to perhaps the biggest reason the Browns have no choice but to draft Shadeur. You need a face, right now a leprechaun is essentially the face of the franchise. In the NFL just a little spark of hope is enough to ignite an entire fanbase. Just look at the Commanders, Texans, Broncos all teams who have hit on young QBs that jump-started their organization.

With Shadeur you get Deion, with Deion you get eyes, with eyes you get money that along is a very compelling argument for the Browns a franchise who hasn’t been relevant since Jim Brown that is worth a flyer on in my eyes the best pure pocket passer in the 2025 draft. Shadeur changes the narrative, he makes the Browns cool, he makes the Browns Primetime. Imagine Sunday or Monday Night Football vs Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens LeBron James, Deion Sanders, Donovan Mitchell in attendance Cleveland rocks again. 

Now that we have looked at it from a business perspective the Browns have no choice from a pure football perspective as well. Travis Hunter is definitely the elephant in the room when it comes to opposition for Shadeur going Number 2, but Travis name has cooled during the Draft process which puts Shadeur in place. Travis in my analysis while great in college he won a lot of plays off just being more athletic more-so than skillful then everyone else, however in the NFL everyone is super freak athletically his overall skills would need to be enhanced for his athleticism to show especially with no true defined position.

Shadeur is a safe pick at least you get a QB that going to be the face of your franchise for the next 10 years. Your biggest asset as the Browns is Kevin Stefanski who has a track record of  developing QBs and winning games when he has a pure pocket passer as Shedeur would be for him. That you have it folks reasons why the Browns have no choice but to draft Shadeur Sanders.

In another possible outcome don’t rule out the Las Vegas Raiders making a push to get to 2 to select Shadeur as Tom Brady has influence there on QBs, and him and Geno are already training together but that’s a topic for the next article to come.
